Fall is decidedly my favorite season, and not just because my birthday is in autumn. I love everything from the cooler weather, the leaves are in full color, all things pumpkin, and wearing hoodies, and lets not forget football season. Fall also gives me the cooking/baking bug. A lot of my favorite squashes are in season as well as apples. I recently discovered this fabulous recipe from Live Simply using sweet potatoes and apples, and if you’re really daring you can add pecans.
Don’t forget to sign-up for the ebook giveaway, along with 11 other great books, you can win a copy of my latest book, Atonement–which happens to take place in the fall. The Raffelcopter link follows the recipe. Good luck!
Apple and Sweet Potato Bake
2 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 cup chopped apples
2 TB pastured butter, cubed
2 TB raw raw honey
1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 400º.
Add the apples and sweet potatoes to a baking dish. Top with honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pinch of salt. Toss the ingredients together. Add the cubed butter to the top of the mixture.
Cover with foil or a foil alternative and bake for 25 minutes until the potatoes are soft.
Well, if you take a stroll around the website I’ve updated some things and added new pages. Go ahead, look. I’ll be here when you get back.
Ok, now that you’re back on to the news. I’ve completed my contracts with Crimson Romance and I’m in the process of writing a new book that is a darker romantic thriller with the heroine taking more of a role in this book. My agent and I are also submitting to a new house and when that all takes place I’ll let you know. I’m busy with a new job, new coaching position, and becoming a football mom–yay me!
As of right now, I don’t have anything really new to report on new books. Relentless is being released in a bundle with other Crimson Romance authors, you can find the links and such here:
Here we are 3 days into 2013 and I’m a month away from the release of Relentless. I’ve seen the mock-up of the cover art and any day now will be able to release it. The Crimson Romance did a great job capturing my hero and heroine.
Book 2 Retribution is turned in to the editor. And I’m currently more than half-way finished with writing book 3 Revenge. Was I ever glad I took that research trip this past summer to New Orleans and Houma. I’ve been able to add an extra layer to the plot and to my characters after being there. I want to go back there soon.
